Spiritual Retreat and Devotional Programme at Sri Ramakrishna Sharadashrama, Ponnampet – 10 May 2026
Sri Ramakrishna Sharadashrama, Ponnampet, organized a spiritually uplifting retreat on 10 May 2026, bringing together devotees and spiritual aspirants for a day dedicated to prayer, meditation, devotional singing, and reflection on the ideals taught by Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda.
The spiritual retreat witnessed active participation from devotees from Ponnampet and nearby areas, creating an atmosphere filled with devotion, peace, and spiritual enthusiasm. The programme was organized with the objective of encouraging spiritual awareness, inner discipline, and collective prayer among devotees and well-wishers of the Ashrama.
The day-long retreat began with Vedic chanting and prayers, invoking divine blessings for universal peace and harmony. Devotional bhajans and sacred hymns created a serene ambience throughout the programme, inspiring participants toward deeper spiritual contemplation and devotion.
The retreat also included the chanting of Sri Lalita Sahasranama, spiritual discourses, guided prayer sessions, and special worship dedicated to Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi. Monks of the Ashrama addressed the gathering and spoke on the relevance of spiritual life, selfless service, and the practice of meditation in modern society.
As part of the programme, devotees participated in Pushpanjali and Maha Mangalarati with great reverence and devotion. The collective participation in worship and chanting strengthened the spirit of unity and spiritual fellowship among attendees.
The spiritual retreat concluded with the distribution of noon lunch prasād to all devotees and participants. The entire programme was conducted peacefully and systematically by the monks, volunteers, and devotees associated with the Ashrama.
